PHILADELPHIA-Steve Wynn, one of the six bidders vying for the second casino license in the city, is sending a letter to 53,000 residents that border his proposed site on the Delaware River.
“What will make our resort so special is our location,” Wynn states in his 450-word letter to residents of the Fishtown, Port Richmond, Kensington and Bridesburg neighborhoods.“ To be clear, my company does not propose to build a big-box slot facility. Wynn Philadelphia is our vision for a remarkable destination on the East Coast. It includes an elegant hotel, fine dining and casual restaurants, retail shops and a meeting and convention facility.”
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will be holding hearings on the proposals in Philadelphia on April 11-12 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and May 8 at Lincoln Financial Field's west club level. See story in The Inquirer.
