BETHESDA, MD-The Bernstein Companies' plan to develop a luxury Westin Hotel will be back before the city's planning board next week with revisions to the mixed-use project.
The Washington, DC-based developer has modified its design on the south side of the two-building development at 7740 Wisconsin Ave. that will include 466,000 square feet of office, retail and hotel space. The revised plan, which will go before the Planning Board on April 4, now adds 19 hotel rooms to raise the total to 222. Other changes include reallocating 2,885 square feet of office space to restaurant/retail and hotel use, according Bethesdanow.com.
The revised plan calls for the hotel to have 12 floors with a lobby entrance on Woodmont Avenue in the south building on the property. The north building would be an 11-floor office building with a lobby entry and ground floor retail. See story at Bethesdanow.com.
