RIDGEWOOD, NJ-The Ridgewood Planning Board has begun hiring several experts to study the traffic and environmental impacts of the proposed expansion of Valley Hospital here.
The village has retained the RBA Group's Gordon Meth as the traffic engineer and the board agreed it would hire a geotechnical and environmental expert from Whippany's Converse Consultants.
Earlier this month Valley Hospital detailed its latest expansion plan that calls for a little more than 910,000 square feet of new development.
The first of a number of hearings on the hospital's application to amend Ridgewood's master plan is scheduled for April 2 at the Benjamin Franklin Middle School. See story in The Record.
