PHILADELPHIA-A mixed-use project in Norristown that will include nearly 100 apartments is progressing toward final approvals, despite some pushback from some local residents who complain about the project's impact on parking in the area.
The project, being proposed by Pennrose Properties, calls for 96 one-and two-bedroom units and 5,000 square feet of retail space at the property located at DeKalb and Airy streets. A total of 60 units at the building would be earmarked for low and moderate-income residents, according to the Inquirer.
The project site is now a parking lot owned by Montgomery County, which in February agreed to transfer ownership via a profit-sharing redevelopment transaction. See story in the Inquirer.
