STAMFORD, CT-A joint venture of Forstone Capital LLC of Darien and certain funds of Westport Capital Partners of Wilton has acquired the more than 200,000-square-foot 9 West Broad St. office building here in an REO sale brokered by HFF.

The nine-story, 200,301-square-foot building sits on 2.88 acres and is anchored by American Institute for Foreign Studies. The building, which was renovated in 2009, features a full-service cafeteria and a separate parking garage. No purchase price was disclosed.

HFF's Florham Park, NJ office marketed the property on behalf of the seller. HFF Senior Managing Directors Jose Cruz and Andrew Scandalios, Managing Directors Kevin O'Hearn and Jeffrey Julien, as well as Associate Director Steve Simonelli worked on the deal on behalf of the unnamed seller.

“9 West Broad Street is well-positioned for value creation through lease-up and will benefit from its location in Stamford, which is home to numerous Fortune 500 companies and top financial firms,” Cruz says.
