BALTIMORE-The Maryland Live casino posted more than $44.6 million in revenue in March, fueling a record month for the state's gaming industry.

According to figures released by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, state gaming facilities generated a record $58 million in revenue last month, besting the previous record in July 2012 of $48 million, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

Excluding the Arundel Mills-based casino, state casino revenue fell 27% as compared to March 2012. Maryland Live, which opened in June 2012, plans to begin table games at the facility next Thursday (April 11). See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
