WASHINGTON, DC-Ditto Residential and CAS Reigler are partnering on a project to convert the former Edmonds School on Capitol Hill into 20 condominium units.
The condo conversion at the school, which closed in the 1990s, is expected to be finished in about a year, according to the Washington Post. In addition to the repurposing of the historic school, which was built about 100 years ago, the plan calls for the construction of four luxury townhouses in an adjacent parking lot.
The condos units will range from 500 square feet to 1,800 square feet. Three of the townhouses will be approximately 3,700 square feet and one will be about 4,100 square feet. Prices will range from the $300,000s to $1.8 million.
“We know Capitol Hill is a hot market, but there hasn't been a lot of high-end condos built,” says Martin Ditto, president of Ditto Residential. “We are delivering something that isn't available. If you want very beautiful fine condo living or townhomes, this is new construction in the heart of Capitol Hill.” See story in the Washington Post.
