MIAMI—Blanca Commercial Real Estate is on an exclusive leasing gig roll. Banyan Street Capital, LLC and Crocker Partners tapped the commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm to lease Brickell Bayview Centre, a 33-story office tower located at 80 SW 8th Street in the heart of Downtown Miami's Brickell District.

“Brickell Bayview Centre offers office tenants a total package for quality of life in the workplace,” Danet Linares, executive vice president at Blanca, tells GlobeSt.com. “Tenants enjoy a central, easily-accessible location, flexible 16,000-square-foot floor plates with wide open views of Miami's urban core and Biscayne Bay, and a strong ownership team committed to investing additional capital in the property.”

The 285,595 square foot office tower is sits between SW 8th and 9th Streets at SW 1st Avenue, neighboring The Shops at Mary Brickell Village and the mixed-use Brickell CityCentre project now underway. It is the only high-rise office building in the Brickell area located across the street from a Metrorail station. The Brickell Metrorail Station at SW 1st Avenue provides rail access to and from Miami International Airport.

News of the Blanca assignment follows the asset's recent purchase by a joint venture between Banyan and Crocker in March for $70 million. Blanca president and CEO Tere Blanca, along with Linares, and associate vice president Alexander Cahlin will lead the office leasing and marketing of the property.

Brickell Bayview Centre's current occupancy rate stands at 87%. The tenant roster includes The Beacon Council, the Consulate Generals of Japan and Brazil, Chase Bank, law firm Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, law firm Thornton, Davis & Fine, and marketing firm Max Borges Agency. The building has earned LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and received an Energy Star rating in acknowledgment of its energy efficient operations.

Earlier this month, Mas Group of Companies and TAZ Partners have tapped Blanca as the exclusive leasing agent for The Building on Ponce Circle. And in January, Blanca won two more office buildings in Miami-Dade County: the 101,144 square foot 8200 Doral building and the 161,905 square foot Courthouse Tower.

People familiar with the matter told GlobeSt.com Blanca is readying to sign another major office tower in Miami. Stay tuned for more details as soon as the news breaks.
