RALEIGH, NC-A groundbreaking for a new 11-story office building is expected to take place in a few months now that Dominion Realty Advisors of Norfolk, VA has reportedly joined the Charter Square project.

Dominion Realty Advisors, a Raleigh-based real estate development company led by industry veteran Andy Andrews, is joining the development team for Charter Square and will lead the effort to begin construction on the first of two planned Charter Square buildings, according to the Triangle Business Journal. A formal announcement of Dominion's participation in the project was expected sometime today.

Charter Square, which sits directly across from the Marriott City Center hotel on Fayetteville Street, calls for 300,000 square feet of office space and 30,000 square feet of street-level retail. CBRE-Raleigh was hired in 2012 to market the building to prospective tenants. See story in the Triangle Business Journal.
