PHILADELPHIA-Now that the public hearings have ended, the seven members of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will now study the proposals submitted by the six applicants vying for the city's second casino license.

The gaming board heard testimony from 94 people during two days of public hearings last Thursday and Friday. Cyrus Pitre, chief enforcement counsel for the gaming board, says the deliberations could take anywhere from nine months to a year, according to the Inquirer.

“You have some very complex agreements that have to be dissected," Pitre says. "Some might have financing that's ready, and they are able to go. Some might have pieces of financing. We're looking to see who can deliver what they promise.” See story in the Inquirer
