OWINGS MILS, MD-Construction will begin in earnest on the controversial Foundry Row project on Thursday with the start of demolition on the former Solo Cup Co. plant.
Developers are planning to stage a ceremony today at 11 a.m. to mark the start of demolition of the building, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
The project is being developed by Vanguard Equities Inc. and Greenberg Gibbons Commercial Corp. The plan includes 425,000 square feet of retail anchored by a Wegmans grocery store, as well as office space. The project will also feature an outdoor venue for concerts and community events.
