LOS ANGELES—The CohnReznick accounting firm has signed a 22,000-square-foot office lease for the entire top floor of 1900 Avenue of the Stars in Century City.
Dave Toomey, Carlo Brignardello and Brian Davies, all principals of Cresa Los Angeles, represented CohnReznick in the transaction. The firm declined to state the terms of the lease, but other brokers said the firm would pay in the mid-$3's per square foot, per month.
The top floor of the property has been gutted. Remodeling is expected to cost $1.5 million for the 120 employees that will be stationed there.
The building has 360-degree views and higher ceilings than other space in the property. The entire building is 88% leased.
The landlord, Duesenberg Investment Company, was represented by Darren Bell of Topa Management Company.
After evaluating properties in Brentwood, Westwood and Century City the firm concluded that Century City, and 1900 Avenue of the Stars in particular, was the most suitable location and building to meet its current and future needs.
According to Toomey, the new space will provide their client with a vibrant new work environment with high ceilings, lots of natural light, 360-degree unobstructed views, and a configuration that is designed to meet the latest space standards for professional services firms.
