Simon Named Head of Massey Knakal's NJ

RUTHERFORD, NJ-Real estate veteran David A. Simon has been named executive managing director of Massey Knakal's New Jersey division, the company announced. Simon has more than 25 years experience in the industry, including executive positions with Cassidy Turley, Colliers Houston and Weichert Commercial.

Simon will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, recruiting and expanding the company's investment sales, retail leasing and financing services throughout New Jersey.

New Jersey is a $4-billion market in annualized sales with over 700 investment sales. Commercial leasing and mortgages have similar dollar velocity,” says Paul J. Massey Jr., CEO of Massey Knakal.

Simon previously was COO for Colliers Houston & Co. and managing principal for the New Jersey office of Cassidy Turley. In these roles he was responsible for the operational and financial performance of the company's three New Jersey offices. Prior to joining Colliers Houston & Co., he served as executive vice president and managing director for Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc where he was responsible for managing and overseeing the firm's office, industrial, land and investment divisions. Simon spent the first 17 years of his real estate career as a salesperson/broker and principal at Newmark Real Estate of New Jersey.
