GLENDALE, CA—The Americana at Brand shopping center will undergo $60 million in renovations, mostly concentrated on the Brand Boulevard side of the site.

The main entrance of the open-air shopping center has been on Center Avenue. But with a new Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's set to open this fall, developer Caruso Affiliated plans to emphasize the Brand area of the 16-acre property.

The Nordstrom store will feature an entrance on Brand with valet parking and will also host a new restaurant, Bar Verde. It moves from a smaller space in the nearby Glendale Galleria.

The Bloomingdale's will anchor the shopping center at the corner of Brand and West Broadway.

Two other new restaurants will also open at Brand and Colorado: Michael Mina's Bourbon Steak (which will open in 2014) and the Taiwanese dumpling house DinTaiFung, which will open in the fall of this year.
