BAYTOWN, TX—On the heels of Governor Rick Perry's Illinois business recruiting trip, an industrial company from the Land of Lincoln has purchased 24 acres near Houston for a distribution facility.

National Tube Supply, University Park, IL, is a distributor of carbon and alloy mechanical tubing, with a second location in California. The company has acquired 24 acres of industrial-zoned land at Bay 10 Business Park with plans to develop a 100,000-square-foot distribution facility, according to a report in the Houston Business Journal.

The master-planned business park spans 220 acres in Baytown, near major distribution hubs and eight miles north of the Port of Houston.

National Tube Supply, which is entering into Houston for the first time, is the lead tenant in the Phase 2 build-out at Bay 10, a 452-acre business park. Completion of the facility is expected by the end of the year.
