SILVER SPRING, MD-Petrie Ross Ventures LLC expects to submit plans in the next month or so for the redevelopment of its City Place Mall here.
The Annapolis-based firm plans to propose to Montgomery County agencies a more modern facade, new entertainment and retail tenants as well as interior and exterior renovations to the 350,000-square-foot facility located at 8661 Colesville Road, according to the Washington Business Journal.
“We really felt like City Place has been the hole in the doughnut with all those exciting things happening around us," says Terry Richardson, president and COO of Petrie Ross Ventures. He adds the firm plans to rebrand the mall as Ellsworth Place and that it is in negotiations with a number of tenants that will be new to the Silver Spring area.
