Mack-Cali Scores 235K SF in W'chester Leases

ELMSFORD, NY-Westchester and Fairfield County office leases accounted for 235,325 square feet of the 1,028,903 square feet of space leased at Mack-Cali Realty Corp. properties in the first quarter, the REIT said Wednesday. Three of the largest were at the Edison, NJ-based company's properties at Cross Westchester Executive Park here.

In the largest of the deals, Publishers Circulation Fulfillment Inc., a provider of distribution solutions for publications, signed a 24,112-square-foot renewal at 300 Executive Blvd. in Elmsford. The 60,000-square-foot office/flex building is 100% leased. Mack-Cali was represented in-house by Ivan Abry, senior director of leasing.

Also within the Cross Westchester park, Fabrication Enterprises Inc. signed a 12,942-square-foot expansion lease at 250 Clearbook Rd. The tenant is a manufacturer, importer and master distributor of products for physical and occupational therapy, rehabilitation, athletic training, sports medicine and homecare. Abry represented Mack-Cali at the 155,000-square-foot property, which is 97.8% leased.

Elsewhere in the park, Honeywell International Inc. renewed its 12,900-square-foot space at the 33,000-square-foot 125 Clearbrook Rd. The Fortune 500 tenant was represented in the transaction by Neil Schorr of Realty Insight Group Inc., which Abry once more represented the ownership.

Across the state line in Connecticut, First Niagara Risk Management inked a 14,767-square-foot renewal and expansion at Mack-Cali's 40 Richards Ave. in Norwalk, CT. Jodie Dostal and Bob Motley, both of Cushman & Wakefield, represented First Niagara, while Mack-Cali was represented in-house by Louis Amalfitano, senior director of leasing.

“While overall markets continue to be challenging, we are pleased with the leasing activity we are seeing in the Westchester and Fairfield county markets, where we continue to attract and retain high-credit quality tenants,” says Mitchell E. Hersh, the REIT's president and CEO, in a release.
