NEW YORK CITY-Cushman & Wakefield said Thursday that Jack Resnick & Sons has tapped the firm as exclusive leasing agent for One Seaport Plaza at 199 Water St., now undergoing a lobby and elevator modernization program. The 1.1-million-square-foot office tower in Lower Manhattan was developed by the Resnick organization in the early 1980s.
“Cushman & Wakefield was the broker when we purchased the land and was our rental agent when we opened 199 Water in 1984; they played an integral role in the initial successful lease-up,” Burt Resnick, CEO of Jack Resnick & Sons, says in a release. “With a large block of leases expiring at the end of 2014 we look forward to working with them again.”
A C&W team comprised of John Cefaly, Andrew Peretz, Robert Constable, Gregory Scott, Joseph Harkins and Courtney Adham will serve as exclusive leasing agent. The team's leasing efforts will complement and extend the Resnick Organization's in-house team, led by Brett Greenberg and Dennis Brady.
The 35-story tower offers panoramic views of New York Harbor, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Downtown skyline, according to the Resnick organization. The building currently offers a two-floor 70,000-square-foot block on the 14th and 15th floors, and its ownership is readying an anticipated 300,000-square-foot block of floors for future possession.
