SEATTLE—A tight market for office space here, has led at least one developer to shoehorn some office footage into a mixed-use building planned for the Capitol Hill area.
Seattle-based Hunters Capitol has decided to include a floor of office in a seven-story mixed-use apartment project it plans to build atop a redevelopment of an concrete auto-row building at 501 E. Pike St. The Puget Sound Business Journal says a shortage of work space in the area has more than one developer looking to meet demand.
Another is Dunn + Hobbes which is also planning a mixed use a few blocks form the Hunters capital project.
