BOGOTA, NJ-River Development LLC gave a presentation to Borough officials last night on a $52-million project to redevelop a blighted property on West Fort Lee road.
Warren Waters, a principal at River Development, detailed his firm's plan for approximately 300-units of residential housing in mid-rise buildings on an eight-acre site that formerly was the Sifford-Pontiac-GMC dealership. The apartments would be marketed to young professionals, city and county workers and nearby hospital employees.
Borough officials were receptive to the project, which follows a plan by another investor to redevelop the Dewey School site on Palisade Avenue, according to The Record.
"It's an exciting proposal," Borough Administrator August Greiner says. "Hopefully, we would be able to move forward." See story in The Record.
