PHILADELPHIA-A non-profit health services provider unveiled plans on Wednesday to build a 30,000-square-foot, $17.8-million health center in one of the poorest sections of the city.

The facility at 21st and Cecil B. Moore avenues is named after one of its largest donors, real estate developer Stephen Klein. The Stephen Klein Wellness Center will expand Project HOME's primary care, behavioral health and health education services, and provide space for new services including dental care and physical therapy, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal. The facility will also have a pharmacy and a YMCA-managed fitness facility.

Klein donated $2.5 million for the center. Leigh and John Middleton donated $1.1 million. The city of Philadelphia is contributing $1.5 million to the project, while Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals has endowed a $1-million dollar gift. See story in the Philadelphia Business Journal.
