CHICAGO-Package delivery company Veterans Distribution of Chicago Inc. has signed a long-term lease for nearly 300,000 square feet of space at CenterPoint Properties Trust's 5999 Butterfield Road building in Hillside.

The firm inked a 12-year lease for the 293,393-square-foot warehouse building, according to Crain's Chicago Business. Veterans President Bill Factor declined to provide financial terms of the deal, but noted that the company will vacate 2220 Arthur Ave. in Elk Grove Village and 700 Golf Lane in Bensenville, which combined total nearly 260,000 square feet, as part of the move to Hillside.

The company will complete its move by March 2014 will invest $6 million into the Butterfield Road property. Summit Realty Group of Indianapolis and New York-based Cushman & Wakefield Inc. brokered the lease.

Cushman also represented DS Waters of America Inc. in a long-term lease for a 367,999-square-foot warehouse at 10220 Werch Drive in Woodridge, according to Britt Casey, the executive director in Cushman's Rosemont office. See story in Crain's Chicago Business.
