NEW YORK CITY-Gas will be a minor expense in Crain Communications' office move next year. The communications company, which publishes Crain's New York Business and Advertising Age among others, will be shifting its operations from 711 Third Ave. to the neighboring 685 Third Ave. building.
The publisher will occupy 57,000 square feet at 685 Third Ave. on the 9th and 10th floors of the 31-story building. CBRE Group Inc., led by Mary Ann Tighe and David Hollander, represented Crain Communications in the deal. The brokerage firm also represented TIAA-CREF. The move to the property at East 44th St. is expected to take place in early 2014.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us to hit the refresh button," says Chris Crain, a vice president and manager of Crain Communications' New York office, in an internal company announcement. "We're working on an open-space design that will make our office a more collaborative environment and offer some more modern technology and amenities." See story in Crain's New York Business.
