CHICAGO-The Anderson Brothers Moving and Storage property in Lakeview is being redeveloped into a mixed-use development that will include loft-style apartments and retail.

Anderson Brothers, which has been in business for more than 110 years, is believed to be moving to another Chicago location, according to Lakeview Patch.

The Anderson Brothers building at 3141 N. Shefield Ave. will be redeveloped into 80 loft apartments and a 5,000-square-foot storefront on the ground floor by developer Kearby Kaiser. The property will also feature a rooftop health club.

“You basically have a fortress now—it's dark all night, and it's dark during the day,” Kaiser says. “We're cutting out a lot of new windows to get bright light into the space. … We're working within the existing structure to create this loft-style apartment feel.” See story at Lakeview Patch.
