ATLANTA-Tishman Speyer and Highwoods Properties are expected to be among the bidders for the One Alliance Center tower property in Buckhead that is on the market for sale through Dallas-based special servicer ORIX Capital Markets.

The 22-story One Alliance office building is the largest single asset in a portfolio of distressed properties valued at more than $1 billion currently being marketed by ORIX, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. ORIX put One Alliance Center on the market for sale last month.

Tishman Speyer, which negotiated the transfer of ownership of the building to ORIX a few months ago, is reportedly interested in the property, as is Highwood Properties Inc., according to newspaper sources. In 2012, Raleigh, NC-based Highwoods acquired the adjacent 29-story Two Alliance Center from Tishman Speyer. See story in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
