POOLER, GA-A 1-million-square-foot outlet mall was given the green light earlier this week by the Pooler City Council.

The $220-million project, under the direction of Atlanta-based developer Ben Carter, will commence construction in July on its foundation. Final plans for the development are not expected to be ratified until December, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Construction is expected to be completed in April 2015.

The project would include a 520,000-square-foot outlet mall, a hotel and peripheral retail. Information culled from the Carter website reveals outparcels could bring another 500,000 of additional square footage of development. See story in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
