DALLAS-H. Kerr Taylor founded AmREIT in 1985, and since then, has led the growth of its property platform to approximately $1 billion of high-quality assets. He's also presided over the increase of the REIT's investor base to more than 6,000 shareholdres and partners.

The chairman of the board and CEO is responsible for overseeing the building of the organization's team of professionals, cultivating the 5-C corporate culture, directing strategic initiative and expanding investor and partner relationships.

In addition, Taylor is a lifetime member of ICSC, a member of the Texas Bar Associatin and past board member of Park National Bank, which merged into Frost Bank. He has also been chairman of the board and founder of Pathways for Little Feet, a 501c3 non-profit that helps families adopt children through financial assistance; a board member of Star of Hope, the fourth-largest homeless shelter in the US; and past co-chairman of Millennium Relief and Development Inc., a worldwide relief organization.
