WEST BRADENTON, FL-The developers of the Long Bar Pointe project were scheduled to meet with Manatee County commissioners today to pitch for zone changes and exemptions from some environmental regulations.

Long Bar Pointe, being proposed by developers Carlos Beruff and Larry Lieberman, involves the construction of 1,086 single-family homes, 1,587 low-rise, multi-family units, 844 high-rise, multi-family units, as well as a 300-room hotel, two retail centers and a convention center, according to the Sarasota Herald Tribune.

The project would be built on a 463-acre site located southwest of El Conquistador Parkway, where State Road 70 and 75th Street West meet. See story in the Sarasota Herald Tribune.
