ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-The Rational Group, parent company of PokerStars, has filed an appeal of a court ruling that allowed the Atlantic Club Casino Hotel to abandon plans to sell the troubled resort property to the online gaming company.
Rational Group filed the appeal earlier this week, claiming the judge made a series of errors that resulted in a faulty ruling, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
Earlier this year, the Rational Group planned to acquire the Atlantic Club for $15 million. Those plans were thwarted in May when a state Superior Court Judge ruled the Atlantic Club could terminate the sale contract and keep the $11 million Rational Group had paid as an advance.
