PURCHASE, NY-A physician-owned group practice has leased all four floors of Simone Healthcare Development's 3030 Westchester Ave. here. The 85,000-square-foot medical office building is now under construction by Simone and Fareri Associates at the existing Harrison Executive Medical Park, and will be occupied in its entirety by WESTMED Medical Group. Brokers involved in the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 1996, WESTMED is led by president and CEIO Simeon Schwartz and medical director Barney Newman. It has grown to more than 250 physicians and about 1,000 employees. At 3030 Westchester, the group's specialties will include ob-gyn, internal medicine, GI, radiology / imaging, vascular surgery offices and imaging, ultrasounds, plastic surgery, sleep labs, neurology, allergy and ENT.
“Times are changing. This full service multi-specialty practice model provides better coordination in the delivery of healthcare services for both for doctors and the community at large,” Schwartz says in a release. “Patients appreciate the one-stop shopping medical experience of an integrated multi-specialty medical practice. They like the convenience of a doctor's visit that includes on-site specialist referrals, clinical lab testing and radiology services—all under one roof.”
Situated on 13 acres, Harrison Executive Medical Park is located near White Plains Hospital, New York-Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains, Greenwich Hospital and Westchester Medical Center. It's also convenient to both highways and mass transit, including complimentary shuttle service to the nearest Metro-North train station.
