MEMPHIS-A host of office building owners here are in competition for a state government office requirement of approximately 100,000 square feet.

The Tennessee Department of General Services and Jones Lang LaSalle have been looking to relocate approximately 480 state employees currently housed at the Donnelley J. Hill State Office Building at 170 Mid-America Mall. Among the entities that have responded to the state's request for proposals include: JP-Memphis, Memphis Commerce Square Partners, Peabody Tower GP, Peabody Place Gold GP, and Hertz Memphis Three LLC, according to the Memphis Business Journal.

The state's DOS is state is seeking two office spaces, which can be housed together or separate, totaling 23,000 square feet and 59,000 square feet, not including common areas. See story in the Memphis Business Journal.
