FORT LAUDERLDALE, FL—Avison Young has won another property management gig. The South Florida arm of the Canadian real estate company is now managing
Sawgrass Distribution Center.

Located at 710-740 International Parkway, Sunrise, FL, Sawgrass Distribution Center is a 131,800-square-foot, three-building class A industrial portfolio. The Sawgrass Distribution Center assignment brings the total square footage under Avison's management across Florida to 7.1 million. Fifty percent of that was awarded within the last six months.

Principal Michael Vullis and senior property manager Kathy Stephens of Avison's South Florida office will oversee the property management activities for the industrial asset. Vullis tells GlobeSt.com the plan is to create points of differentiation and maintain the value of this industrial center.

"Avison Young's focus is always on providing a hands-on approach to customer service as well as an efficient use of resources focusing on the assets appearance and condition," says Vullis. "Since being awarded this assignment, we are currently in the valuation process of the asset to create efficiencies, ensuring that dollars spent are being put back into the property and implementing operational enhancements."

Sawgrass Distribution Center is located within the Sawgrass International Corporate Park at the intersection of Interstate 75 and Interstate 595, the Sawgrass Expressway and 136th Avenue. The industrial property is also a few minutes away from both the Florida Turnpike and US 27 and 15 minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The buildings offer both dock high and ground level overhead doors as well as 24-foot clear ceilings.
