WASHINGTON, DC-The District of Columbia has received bids from three teams to develop a portion of Walter Reed Army Medical Center here.

On Thursday, the District is expected to release details of the three proposals at a meeting at Tifereth Israel Congregation, 7701 16th St. NW that will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Three firms-- Roadside Development, Forest City Washington and a joint venture of Hines Interests LP and Urban Atlantic−delivered their proposals by Friday's deadline, according to the Washington Business Journal. Western Development Corp. and Walter Reed Associates LLC dropped out of the competition for the project.

The master plan for Walter Reed calls for approximately 2,000 residential units, 767,000 square feet of office space and 212,000 square feet of retail. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
