WHITE OAK, MD-After a deal to acquire its 47-acre campus here fell apart recently, the National Labor College has put the property back on the market for sale.

Back in May, the AFL-CIO-affiliated school announced its intent to sell the campus to a partnership of Reid Temple African Methodist Episcopal mega-church and the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County. However, National Labor College president Paula E. Peinovich said on Tuesday that the deal did not close and that the college had hired CBRE Inc. to market the property for sale, according to the Washington Post.

“That plan did not go forward as we had anticipated,” Peinovich says. “But the property is back on the market and we have a new realtor, CBRE, and I expect the marketing materials will be available early next week.”

The property features 10 buildings, including dormitories, classrooms, and offices as well as a 74,000-square-foot conference space. See story in the Washington Post.
