TAMPA-Pharmaceutical firm Bristol-Meyers Squibb is in final negotiations for a site here to build a new 70,000-square-foot facility in Hillsborough County.

The project involves locating a North America Capability Center here that will bring 579 life sciences jobs to the area, according to a statement from Florida Gov. Rick Scott. The new facility will open in January 2014 with approximately 250 workers, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

The New York City-headquartered firm expects to add another 325 jobs at the site by 2017. See story in the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
