NEW IBERIA, IL-American Tank Company is expanding its operations here and will build a new $2-million manufacturing plant.
Gov. Bobby Jindal and company officials announced the initiative on Monday. The project is being fueled by a $275,000 state loan as well as tax breaks from the state's quality jobs and industrial tax exemption programs, according to the Associated Press.
The new plant will be built nearby its existing company site in New Iberia and should be finished by mid-2014. See story in the Miami Herald.
