DORAL, FL-An affiliate of men's and women's fashion designer and retailer Perry Ellis International has acquired an office building here close to its corporate headquarters for $7.3 million.
The locally-based firm purchased the nearly 82,000-square-foot office building at 3105 N.W. 107th Ave. from Mercantil Commercebank. The bank purchased the property in 1996 for $1.2 million and built the office building at the site three years later, according to the South Florida Business Journal. The property currently houses the bank's Doral branch.
Mercantil Commercebank provided a $5.84-million mortgage to Perry Ellis affiliate The 107 Growth in connection with the transaction. Perry Ellis' corporate headquarters is located nearby at 3000 N.W. 107th Ave. See story in the South Florida Business Journal.
