TRENTON, NJ-The New Jersey Gaming Enforcement Division reports it received applications from 37 firms by Monday's deadline looking to engage in Internet gambling in the state.
Thanks to a new law enacted earlier this year, Atlantic City-based casinos will be allowed to offer online gaming with the system scheduled to go on-line on Nov. 23, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Applications are still being accepted by the state, however, only those that submitted applications by Monday's deadline would be eligible to go live in November. New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada are the only states that have laws to allow online gambling . Nevada is the only state to have an online gaming system in operation.
