BALTIMORE-The new ownership of the Lord Baltimore Hotel has taken down the Radisson flag and is planning an overhaul of the 439-room facility.

LB 1928 Associates LLC, which acquired the property at 20 W. Baltimore St. in March for $10 million, is planning to revamp all of its guest rooms, as well as update meeting and public spaces, according to the Baltimore Business Journal. The ownership, which is based at the same Miami address as Rubell Hotels, also plans to add 10 elevators to the hotel.

The renovation program, which is expected to begin in a few months, is geared to restoring the circa 1928 hotel to its “original grandeur and prominence,” according to a statement from the hotel. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
