MEMPHIS, TN-With several of its office tenants looking for new space elsewhere, a published report says real estate sources here are saying the owner of Memphis' tallest building is considering other uses for the former Union Planters building.
The primary owner of the property at 100 N. Main St. is Myron Zimmerman, principal of Zimmerman Investments of Oakland, CA. Sources tell the Memphis Business Journal that Zimmerman is considering other uses for the 436,280-square-foot, 38-story office building.
The property was listed for sale at $20 million in 2012. Marketing material suggested the property could be redeveloped into a mixed-use development that could include residential, retail, hotel or office uses. See story in the Memphis Business Journal.
