BALTIMORE-The General Services Administration released further details on its plan to offer its Metro West Building on N. Greene Street in what it calls an “exchange” deal.

The building at 300 N. Greene St. totals 1.1 million square feet and will be vacated in 2014 when the GSA moves 1,600 employees to the 538,000-square-foot 6100 Wabash Ave. building, according to the Baltimore Business Journal. The GSA is reportedly looking to the private sector for ideas that could include turning over the building to a firm that would provide construction services for the agency.

The request for information released by the GSA on Thursday did not include the dollar value of services or the scope of work it is seeking, but did reveal that a request for proposals will be issued later. See story in the Baltimore Business Journal.
