NEW YORK CITY—ALM's Real Estate Media Group—the publisher of GlobeSt.com, Real Estate Forum, and the RealShare Conference Series, comprising commercial real estate's most comprehensive media platform—today announced a strategic realignment across its digital, print and events brands.

The move is a result of the Group's ongoing efforts to move toward a digital-first approach to its content while further integrating and growing its print, online and conference divisions. This realignment, combined with considerable technological advances, enables the REM Group to deliver content faster, smarter and to more readers.

Celebrating its 68th consecutive year of publication, Real Estate Forum remains the leading print medium for the commercial real estate industry. At 66.89%, according to IMS/the Auditor of Toronto, its ad share is more than double that of its closest competitor. Forum continues to offer a complete informational and marketing package, with reports on the latest trends in the market and insight from the industry's most recognizable names. Now, Forum content will be available in an expanded form on GlobeSt.com, which has also grown significantly.

“With our re-launch of the new GlobeSt.com earlier this year, the website's content has more than doubled to nearly 60 original stories per day,” said GlobeSt.com founder Michael G. Desiato, Vice President & Group Publisher of the Real Estate Media Division of ALM Media. “Trusted reporting delivered through innovative technology remains our overriding strategy.”

Fueling the content surge has been a streamlined publishing system and realignment of editorial resources that will lead to more dedicated editions and geographic AM Alerts heading into 2014.

As part of the realignment, Forum's Sule Aygoren will now serve as editor-in-chief of both the magazine and GlobeSt.com reporting directly to Desiato.  Aygoren takes over for content director John Salustri, who has left to pursue other industry communications opportunities. The National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) recently recognized Aygoren and her team for excellence in reporting, writing and editing at its 63rd Annual Journalism Awards.

”With more than 10 years of print, online and social media experience, Sule possesses the skills and knowledge to lead our talented group of journalists into the next era of publishing,” said Desiato.

In addition to the editorial realignment, ALM's Real Estate Media Group has added talented professionals to other parts of the organization that will spur growth in 2014:

  • Brooke Sandella and Emily Lettieri have joined the events division as RealShare conference producers.

  • Jenna Zietara has joined the team as marketing and custom content coordinator, where she will help grow the Thought Leadership Custom Content program.

  • On the sales side, the Group has added Dan Vierno as associate publisher, Mid-Atlantic Region.

“For our business partners, this revamp means more opportunities to engage and partner with decision makers and industry thought leaders,” added Desiato. Announcements of additional hires will come as ALM's Real Estate Media Group continues to recruit reporters throughout the country.
