LARGO, FL-The developer of a shopping center that will include a Walmart Neighborhood Market as its anchor, acquired a key five-acre parcel for the project for $2.9 million.
The property at 9020 Ulmerton Road was acquired by BD Ulmerton LLC and is the site of a former movie theater that has been demolished, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. The seller, Gary Boesch, was represented in the transaction by John F. Gerlach and Mackenzie Gerlach of Colliers International Tampa Bay. The buyer, BDG Ulmerton LLC, was represented by European Equities.
This past November, BDG acquired a contiguous parcel for a little more than $2 million. Colliers Gerlach states, “Given the location, the property provided an excellent opportunity for new retail development. Large corporate entities like Walmart are dominating retail sites these days, and are the source of most major new retail projects to the marketplace.” See story in the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
