DALLAS-Former Dallas Cowboy running back Emmitt Smith is teaming with two area commercial real estate pros to form a new national firm.
Sharon Morrison and Brant Landry, veterans of the Dallas office of Transwestern, have left that firm to join in business the NFL hall-of-famer. Together they are launching E. Smith Realty Partners, a start-up property company that will have multiple lines of business.
“Launching a national commercial real estate brokerage company is the natural extension of my previous experience,” Smith told the Dallas Morning News Wednesday. “We are going in business together and are controlling our own destiny.”
The Dallas Business Journal says Smith has been in the real estate business for more than through ESmith Legacy, which develops, builds and owns mixed-use commercial, industrial and residential projects. Smith also has EJ Smith Construction, which focuses on civil construction and commercial building projects. Morrison and Landry started at The Staubach Co. before it was purchased by Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008, the Journal noted.
