PHILADELPHIA-Labor market conditions in the tri-state region of Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania were mixed in the month of July with New Jersey and Pennsylvania losing a total of 13,500 jobs, while Delaware gained 2,800 net positions, according to a report released by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia on Tuesday.

According to the latest release from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, seasonally adjusted payroll employment in the three-state region fell by 10,700 net jobs (0.1%) from June to July. The nation added 162,000 net jobs in July, or 0.1%. New Jersey lost 11,800 jobs (0.3%); Pennsylvania lost 1,700 jobs (0.03%) during the month of July.

The July unemployment rate in Pennsylvania remained at 7.5%, while New Jersey's fell from 8.7% to 8.6%. Delaware's jobless rate edged up slightly from 7.3% in June to 7.4% in July. The US unemployment rate in July fell from to 7.4% from a 7.6% rate posted in June.
