ATLANTIC CITY-Las Vegas casino operator Steve Wynn is hoping to secure approval from state gaming regulators to enter the New Jersey Internet gambling arena.
Wynn Interactive LLC is one of a host of Internet gaming concerns that filed applications with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement for licenses to operate in the Garden State, according to the Press of Atlantic City. Internet gambling on Atlantic City slot machines and table games is scheduled to go live on Nov. 26.
Details about Wynn Interactive's plans for New Jersey remain a mystery at this time. Lisa Spengler, a spokeswoman for the Division of Gaming Enforcement, said Wynn Interactive's petition for a casino service license is considered confidential and would therefore not be released.
To date, Wynn's company has yet to announced an Internet gambling partnership with an Atlantic City casino. See story in the Press of Atlantic City.
