FT. LAUDERDALE, FL—For the fourth year in a row, United National Consumer Suppliers (UNCS) has been recognized as one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States by Inc. magazine. The wholesale distributor specializes in supplying retailers discounted excess inventory and overstock from product manufacturers.
The firm has increased revenues more than 197% over the last five years and comes in at 2,757 in this year's rankings. UNCS joins companies such as Intuit, Zappos, Microsoft, and Oracle in the prestigious 2013 Inc. 5000 listing. The 11-year-old company credits its growth to a unique culture, technologies, and a willingness to be different and loyal to supportive clients, such as Groupon, Bed Bath and Beyond, and TJ Maxx.
“The impact of being recognized for four years by Inc. for unprecedented growth in our field is immeasurable,” says Brett Rose, CEO and founder of UNCS. I believe that our well-rounded company model—balancing social and corporate responsibility, charitable giving and unparalleled customer service—are the core tenets of our success, today and into the future.”
UNCS' proprietary software system designed to drive efficiencies of internal and external client logistics has enabled the company to capitalize on wholesale logistical advantages and ultimately pass back time and financial gains to clients. An added benefit is the reduction of the company's carbon footprint by streamlining shipments and saving tens of thousands of sheets of paper per year.
