MIAMI-The developer of major high-rise rental housing project still under construction at Mary Brickell Village here has converted the 390-unit building into condominiums.
The project, now known as Nine at Mary Brickell Village, is being built atop a Publix supermarket at 999 SW First Ave. Fortune International was retained to market the project, which is being co-developed by Greenwich, CT.-based Starwood Capital Group and San Antonio, TX-based Lynd, according to the Miami Herald.
The project is located next to Swire Properties' planned mixed-use $1.05-billion Brickell CityCentre.
“A lot of people say they're near Mary Brickell Village,” says Edgardo Defortuna, CEO of Fortune International. “We're on Mary Brickell Village.”
Defortuna said demand for downtown condos has been robust and the Nine at Mary Brickell Village project will be completed in a year. “We feel there is a window for the right size (units) and the timing is good,” Defortuna says. See story in the Miami Herald.
