ARLINGTON, VA-Two local developers have filed for building permits to begin their respective developments here that involve an office building and a mixed-use project that will feature retail and apartments.
The Shooshan Co. applied on Aug. 22 for building permits to construct a 410,000-square-foot office building, at 4040 Wilson Boulevard in Ballston. The 20-story building, which has been projected to cost approximately $200 million, will also feature 8,500 square feet of ground floor retail and a five-story below-grade parking garage, according to the Washington Business Journal.
Arlington-based McCaffery Interests submitted a building permit application on Aug. 26 to build a mixed-use development at 2145 Lee Highway. The plans call for 14,000 square feet of retail space, 175 apartment units, 27 townhouses and three floors of garage parking. MOM's Organic Market will anchor the retail component of the project.
