CHICAGO-Office Max opened its smaller, new concept store in Chicago on Tuesday. The Naperville, IL-based office supplies firm opened the new 3,900-square-foot store at 550 N. St. Clair St. in the Streeterville section of the city, north of the Loop.
The store concept, dubbed the "OfficeMax Business Solutions Center," is based on considerable feedback from business owners in Chicago and across the country, according to the Chicago Business Journal.
A key selling point of the new store design is the so-called "business solutions adviser" onsite to consult with customers. "We're very pleased to bring our highly innovative 'store of the future' concept, the OfficeMax Business Solutions Center, to Chicago to partner with local businesses and help them grow," Ravi Saligram, president and CEO of OfficeMax stated. "This relationship-based model provides flexibility to tailor services, products and solutions to the unique needs of businesses at various stages of growth."
